A health status assessment is the process of collection, analyzing and reporting information about the needs, strengths and assets of the community. This valuable information :
| provides baseline data to our community about our demographic and socioeconomic characteristics, and about our health status and health risks |
| provides background information that will help our community identify issues that need more focused attention, and help put other health data in proper context |
